Educational Etsy products come in many flavours. You could create printable one-page reference guides or worksheets or you could even create a small digital course.
But what if you don’t know how to turn your knowledge into digital products that will sell? In this post, I’m giving you plenty of educational digital product ideas for different niches.
Why should you listen to me when it comes to selling educational digital products on Etsy?
I’ve had my shop since 2020 but I didn’t get serious about it until 2022. Since then, I’ve made more than 2000 sales and in my best months I’ve made just as much as I would have back when I had a day job.
A couple of years ago I bought a course on selling printables on Etsy and although I did learn a lot and it helped me get started, it was more suitable for people who want to sell things like printable wall art or printable bookmarks and things like that. It didn’t really suit people like me who want to sell information.
I know what it’s like creating digital products that teach people something and I know how to sell them on Etsy, so you can be sure this post has been written by someone who actually knows what they’re talking about!

What are educational Etsy products?
Educational Etsy products are digital products that either teach people a skill or help them with a skill. Your educational products should help people either learn, remember, organize or improve.
These educational products can come in many forms. You can have printable and/or fillable worksheets and workbooks, ebooks, Excel sheets, Google Docs, Notion templates, video workshops and much more. Your product could be a combination of different types of products.
Most product ideas that you have can be turned into different types of products with different price points. Someone might only need a one-page printable while someone else could need an entire Notion dashboard – both about the same subject and for reaching the same goal.
But wait, you can’t sell videos on Etsy!
Actually, yes you can! You’re right, you can’t *upload* videos to your Etsy listing any more than you can upload a Notion template there – that’s why you need to provide your buyers with the access link.
And how do you give them the link? Upload a branded PDF that has your shop logo and link, a link to the product they purchased, a link to your social media or email list and preferably instructions on how to access your product. How should you choose your niche for your Etsy digital products?
It’s very easy: What subject do you know enough about that you can help people with it? What do you know enough about that you could help people learn, remember, organize and improve?
You need to have integrity about this. I know there are loads of marketing dude bros with zero experience in selling Etsy, telling you how you should use AI to churn out digital products about subjects you know nothing about, just to “make quick money”. Here’s the truth: there’s no “making quick money” on Etsy.
Sure, you can sell garbage to someone once, but you need to earn your customers’ trust and have them return to your shop. You also don’t want your first review to be “1/5, obviously made with Chat-GPT and taught me nothing”.
Think about what you already know and what people ask your help with. You don’t need to have a degree within your niche, you just need knowledge and experience.
